Woman docked for alleged fraud, forgery ***************************** A 22-year-old woman, Gift Agu, was on arraigned before an Abule-Egba Magistrates' Court in Lagos for alleged forgery, impersonation and fraud. Agu is facing charges of impersonation, forgery, fraud and conspiracy. The Prosecutor, Insp. Racheal Willimas, told the court that the offence was committed on September 9 at Stanbic IBTC Bank, Abattoir, Agege. Williams said that the accused and one other now at large went to the banking hall and forged the signature of one Ossai Iyanam, and collected her ATM card. "The accused was a former employee of the complainant, Iyanam. "The accused collected N1000, the only cash left in the account, but the machine failed to bring out the ATM card. "She was caught when she went back to the banking hall to recover the ATM, and she was consequently handed over to the police," Williams said. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. The Magistrate, Tajudeen Elias, granted N100,000 bail to the accused with two sureties in like sum. He adjourned the case till October 21.
