Seven Zamfara villages attacked by gunmen ******************************* Seven villages in Zamfara State have been sacked by unidentified gunmen who have burnt their homes and food, and forced them to flee, AllAfrica reports. The gunmen are believed to be Fulani herdsmen. They have allowed their cattle to feed on the villager’s farms and have killed anyone who dared to confront them. Villagers that have been attacked are Bawar Daji, Dangulbi, Saminaka, Daraga, Sabon Birni, Kujiji and Wuya. The state police have responded that they have taken measures to curb the activities of the gunmen and regular patrols of the area are taking place.
